CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Towson women's swimming and diving program fell to Virginia and Virginia Tech on day two of the Virginia Tech double dual meet on Saturday. The Tigers had seven top-five finishes on Saturday for a total of 10 top-five finishes over the two-day meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED (SWIM EVENTS)- The Tigers were impressive in the 100-yard backstroke with two top-five finishes. Jacy Icard placed third with a season-best time of 57.15 while Natalie Obando finished fifth (58.49).
- Jenna Van Camp came in third-place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 2:17.04.
- Ashley Illenye finished fifth in the 1000-yard freestyle with a season-best 10:20.46.
- Charlotte Holz placed fifth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.16. She also finished sixth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.14).
- Christine Hammond came in eighth-place in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:35.42.
- Tara Goss finished ninth in the 100-yard butterfly (59.21).
- The 200-yard medley relay of Icard, Van Camp, Goss and Holz timed 1:45.12 for a fourth-place finish.
- Holz, Icard, Goss and Melissa Toy combined for an eighth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:35.44).

HOW IT HAPPENED (DIVING)- Emilee Wilson impressed on the diving boards for the Tigers. She placed fourth in the one-meter event (249.65). She also came in sixth-place in the three-meter event (234.35).

Towson makes the short trip to local rival Johns Hopkins for a dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m.
