ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Towson indoor track and field program won seven events to finish second out of three teams at the Navy Mid-Week Meet on Tuesday evening. Navy won the meet with 218 points while Towson followed in second-place (174) and American finishing third (39).
Towson had 28 top-five finishes while the Tiger squad set 14 personal bests at the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED (TRACK EVENTS)- Towson had four Tigers place in the top-five in the 60m hurdles. Wilhelmina Austin won the event with a personal best time of 9.19. Katelynn Williams followed in second-place (9.27).
- The Tigers excelled in the 60m dash, led by Zanae Freeland who won the event in 7.80. Kelsey Fiddes placed second (8.05), Rachel Laryea (8.13) in fourth and Lindsay Pinckney in fifth-place with a personal best time of 8.19.
- Megan Knoblock was the runner-up in the 1 mile run with a personal best time of 5:12.01.
- Shelby Bobbie finished fifth in the 1000m run, timing 3:04.47. Her time was a personal best and pushes her into the Towson Top-10 list.
- Freeland won her second event of the day in the 200m dash with a time of 25.86. Liz Reid finished third (26.33) while Kelsey Fiddes placed fifth (26.57).
- Colleen Cook came in third-place in the 3000m run, timing 10:48.02 which is a personal best.
- The 4x400m relay of Megan Kelly, Bobbie, Laryea and Brittney Shields finished second with a time of 4:07.76.
HOW IT HAPPENED (FIELD EVENTS)- Lauren Coleman impressed for the Tigers, winning the weight throw with a personal best of 15.06m and also placing fourth in the shot put (11.78m).
- Stallings was the runner-up in the shot put with a distance of 12.30m.
- Jader Godsey placed second in the weight throw (14.55m) and came in sixth-place with a distance of 11.05m in the shot put.
- Naja McAdam set a personal best height of 1.65m in the high jump to win the event.
- Maggie Rampolla won the pole vault with a height of 3.45m while Brynn Warrington finished third (3.45m).
- Towson swept second through fourth-place in the long jump, led by Pinckney with a personal best distance of 5.11m. Ranly came in third-place with a personal best (5.03m) while Reid placed fourth (4.97m).
- Austin came in first-place in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 11.54m.
The Tigers wrap up their week with a trip to the Gulden Invitational, hosted by Bucknell on Saturday, Jan. 23.
