ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Towson women's swimming program defeated Johns Hopkins but fell to Navy in double-dual meet action on Wednesday evening at Navy's Lejuene Hall. The Tigers earned a 192-68 win over Johns Hopkins and were narrowly edged 125-119 by Navy.

Towson finished the meet with five event victories and 27 top-five finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED Â Â Â Â Â Â - Jacy Icard won the 100-yard backstroke in 56.66 and also finished third in the 50-yard freestyle (24.09).
- Natalie Obando earned a victory in the 200-yard backstroke, timing 2:03.63. She also finished third in the 100-yard backstroke (58.62).
- Kendall Krumenacker picked up a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke as she timed 2:06.89.
- Jenna Van Camp won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:18.77. She also placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.80). Sara Lacusky came in fourth-place (1:05.60) while Amanda Rosa followed in fifth (1:06.25).
- Ashley Illenye was the runner-up in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:15.71. Hannah Snyder placed fourth, timing 10:28.39.
- Illenye finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.37) and earned a third-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, timing 2:04.74.
- The Tigers impressed in the 200-yard individual medley, led by Charlotte Holz who won the event in 2:05.60. Hannah Snyder finished third (2:09.84), Seana Acker followed in fourth (2:13.86) while Krumenacker finished fifth (2:15.48).
- Holz placed second in the 100-yard freestyle, timing 52.02. She came in third-place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.43.
- Tara Goss was the runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly (58.21), followed by Olivia Evans (58.46) in third-place and Rosa in fifth-place (1:00.96).
- Towson won the 200-yard freestyle relay as Icard, Melissa Toy, Caitlin Manthe and Holz combined for a time of 1:37.76.
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Icard, Van Camp, Powell and Manthe timed 1:45.89 for a second-place finish.

Towson returns home to host Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Delaware on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. The meet will be the Tigers final home meet of the season and serve as senior day.
