HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter saw the two teams go back-and-forth.
- Redshirt sophomore center Maia Lee hit one-of-two from the foul line with 3:58 to go in the stanza, which gave the visitors a 9-6 edge.
- A three-pointer from Bankston with 2:03 to go in the quarter gave Towson a 15-10 lead.
- Colgate (2-6) scored the final two baskets of the quarter and the two teams were tied at 15-15.
- The two teams traded baskets early in the second quarter as Bankston's jumper at 7:36 tied the game at 22-22.
- Colgate scored 16 of the game's next 19 points and took a 38-25 lead at the half. The Raiders did most of their work from behind the arc, by hitting four three-pointers during that stretch.
- The Raiders shot 53.3% from the field in the first half and got 15 points from Katie Curtis.
- Bankston led the Tigers with 10 points and three assists in the first half.
- Towson opened the third quarter on a 13-5 run and cut the Colgate lead to five, 43-38 with 6:43 to go in the stanza. Bankston drained a pair of triples during that run.
- Colgate responded with six straight points and pushed its lead back to 11, 49-38 with 4:21 left on the clock. Kateri Stone tallied four of the Raiders' six points during that stretch.
- The two teams traded baskets over the final four minutes of the quarter and Colgate led 53-48 with 10 minutes to play.
- A triple from sophomore guard Sianni Martin cut the Towson deficit to four, 57-53 with 7:23 to go in the game.
- Colgate pushed the lead back to seven before baskets from senior forward Brianna Bush and Bankston pulled the Tigers to within three, 60-57 with 5:03 left in the game.
- Bankston connected on three straight from the foul line with 1:18 to go and Towson trailed by just three, 69-66.
- However Colgate went 7-for-10 from the foul line in the final minute plus to hold off the Tigers and claim the 76-71 victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Colgate shot 50.9 percent from the field and connected on 11 three-pointers.
- Bankston led Towson with 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals.
- Redshirt junior forward Jordyn Smith had her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds for the Tigers.
- Martin added 16 points for the Tigers.
- Mackenzie Carroll led Colgate with 19 points while Curtis had 17 points.
- Towson had 12 steals, it was the seventh time in nine games that the Tigers recorded double digit steals in a contest.
- The Tigers scored 20 points off 22 Colgate turnovers, it was the seventh time that the Tigers have scored at least 20 points off opponents' turnovers.
The Tigers return to action when they return home to host Rider on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.
