Anna Ranly finished second in the pentathlon at Navy's Sweetheart Multi-Mix meet on Thursday evening at the Wesley A. Brown Field House. It was Ranly's first pentathlon this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Ranly won three of the five events to total 2,854 points, a career-best, and finish second in the pentathlon. She was narrowly edged by Navy's Elizabeth Pecsok who won the event with 2,869 points.
- Ranly timed 2:45.93 in the 800m run and 9.97 in the 60m hurdles to finish first in both events.
- She also won the long jump event with a distance of 5.02m (16'5.75").
- Ranly posted a height of 1.52m (4'11.75") in the high jump for a second-place finish.
- She was the runner-up in the shot put, throwing a distance of 8.32m (27'3.75").
Towson continues its busy weekend, traveling to Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday, Nov. 12 and Monmouth's Winter Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 13.
