TOWSON, Md. – The Towson gymnastics program placed second in the Shelli Calloway Invitational on Friday evening. The Tigers recorded 193.425 points to finish behind Pittsburgh (195.250) and ahead of Pennsylvania (191.775). The meet served as the Towson's annual alumnae meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The Tigers opened the meet on vault, recording a team total of 47.275. Tyra McKellar tied for sixth-place (9.625) while Aysia Sharif placed ninth (9.600) and Gabriella Yarussi followed tied for tenth-place (9.550).
- Towson moved to the uneven bars for the second rotation, earning a team total of McKellar tied her season-best of 9.875 on bars to finish in third-place for the event. Noelle Harada tied for fifth on the event (9.725). Mary Elle Arduino tied for seventh-place (9.700) while Katie McGrady and Brittney Ranti tied for 10th-place with matching 9.675 scores.
- The Tigers earned their best team score of the night on the balance team, totaling 48.975. Yarussi tied for first-place on the event with a score of 9.875. Towson swept third through fifth-place. Arduino finished third (9.850) followed by Lauren Cahalan (fourth, 9.825) and Bridget Steffen (T-fifth, 9.775).
- Towson ended the meet on floor, recording a team total of 48.525. Harada and McKellar tied for fourth-place with matching 9.825 scores. McGrady tied for sixth-place (9.800) and Aysia Sharif finished eighth (9.775).
- McKellar finished third in the all-around with a score of 38.975.
