BOSTON, Mass. – The Towson indoor track and field program set four school records at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday afternoon. Towson had eight Tigers in action at the meet.
Towson qualified three Tigers for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Indoor Championships, which will take place from March 3-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Zanae Freeland impressed at the meet, matching the school record with a time of 7.69 in the 60m dash. She finished eighth-overall for the event. Her previous best was 7.71 which she set last weekend at the Akron Invitational.
- Freeland continued to excel in the 200m dash, breaking her own indoor school record with a time of 24.56.
- Liz Reid earned an ECAC qualifying time for the 400m dash with an indoor school record time of 56.51. Reid placed 21st-overall in the event. Also in action in that event was Kelsey Fiddes (68th, 59.02), Megan Kelly (76th, 59.22) and Arianna Waller (78th, 59.26) who all earned personal bests.
- Kelly competed in the 60m hurdles, timing 9.47 for a 46th-place finish.
- Amanda Famularo won her heat in the 500m dash with a time of 1:17.26. She finished 13th overall for the event and now ranks tied for fourth-place on the Tiger Top-10 list.
- The Tigers came in 18th-place for the 4x400m as Freeland, Reid, Famularo and Fiddes combined for a time of 3:55.80.
- Megan Knoblock set a school record for the 3000m dash as she timed 9:55.16 for a 42nd-place finish. Her time qualified for the ECAC Championships.
- Allison Marella broke her own school record in the 5000m dash with a time of 17:16.10. She has previously set the school record, timing 17:18.06 at the Patriot Games. She finished 25th for the event.
The Tigers wrap up a busy weekend with a trip to Monmouth for the Winter Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 13.
