TOWSON, Md. – The Towson gymnastics program placed third in its annual "Pink Meet" on Friday evening. The Tigers recorded 194.550 points to finish behind North Carolina State (195.925) and George Washington (195.350) but ahead of William & Mary (192.975).
Towson's total team score was its second best of the season. The Tigers had nine top-10 finishers, led by
Mary Elle Arduino who won balance beam.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The Tigers opened the meet on vault, recording a team total of 48.450. Noelle Harada and Erin Tucker tied for seventh-place after they both set career-bests with matching scores of 9.750. Tyra McKellar followed tied for 13th-overall with a season-best score of 9.725.
- Towson moved to the uneven bars for the second rotation, earning a season-best team total of 48.700. McKellar tied for second-overall with a 9.875, tying her season-best. Harada tied for eighth-place, scoring a career-best 9.825. Mary Elle Arduino tied her career-best of 9.700 to finished tied for 14th-place.
- The Tigers earned their best team score of the night on the balance team, totaling 48.725. Arduino won the event with a career-best 9.875. Gabriella Yarussi followed in third-place with a score of 9.825.
- Towson ended the meet on floor, recording a season-best team total of 48.675. McKellar tied for fourth-place, matching her season-best score of 9.825. Lauren Cahalan tied for eighth with a season-best 9.800. Bridget Steffen finished tied for 14th with a career-best of 9.750.
- McKellar finished fourth in the all-around with a score of 39.175.
Towson wraps up a busy weekend with a trip to George Washington for a quad meet with Maryland and Rutgers on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Charles E. Smith Center.
