HOW IT HAPPENED- The two teams battled early as a basket from Samantha DeFreese gave Northeastern a 16-13 lead in the first quarter.
- Towson responded with a 10-2 run in the final four minutes and took a 23-18 lead after one period. Johnson powered the Tigers during that stretch with a pair of three-pointers.
- The Tigers and Huskies went back-and-forth in the second quarter as Jess Genco's triple pulled the visitors to within one, 32-31 with 6:18 left in the stanza.
- Towson scored 12 of the final 21 points in the stanza and the Tigers led 44-40 at the half. Bankston scored seven for the home team during that stretch while Claudia Ortiz had five points for the Huskies.
- Northeastern outscored Towson 21-7 in the third quarter and turned a four-point deficit into a 10-point advantage, 61-51.
- The Huskies shot 50% from the field in the third quarter while holding the Tigers to just 25%.
- Towson scored 10 of the first 19 points in the fourth quarter.
- Johnson made three straight foul shots as the Tigers pull within nine with 5:30 to play.
- Northeastern would not relinquish its lead though, as the visitors lead fluctuated between 11 and 18 points over the final 4:30. The Huskies claimed the 81-63.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE- Towson welcomed back its alumnae at the game as the returning players were recognized at halftime.
- Towson shot 58.8% from the field in the first quarter and finished the game shooting 43.3%.
- Northeastern shot just 36.8% from the field in the first quarter but finished the game shooting 51.7% from the field.
- Freshman forward Brittany Tarr grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds in the contest. She matched her career-high with three blocks while playing almost 40 minutes, before fouling out late in the game.
- Bankston finished with a game-high 25 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
- Redshirt sophomore guard Raine Bankston dished out a game-high seven assists.
- Johnson, added 20 points and was a perfect 3-3 from the charity stripe as the Tigers shot 66.7% (4-6) from the line.
- Northeastern went 11-17 from the foul line.
- The Huskies were led by DeFreese, who had 20 points.
The Tigers wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, March 2 when they host Drexel at 7 p.m. in SECU Arena. The Tigers will honor their seniors Johnson and
Brianna Taylor prior to the start of the game.
