CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Towson swimming program had 11 student-athletes in action on day one of the Carolina Collegiate Invitational, hosted by UNC. Eight Tigers earned qualifying times for the evening finals session.

HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN'S)- Danielle Clark won the 'B' finals for the 500-yard freestyle, timing 5:02.92. Four other Tigers qualifier for the event finals, with Rhyann Lowrey finishing in 11th-place. Tasha Reidenbach, Grace Hansen and Zeynep Balto swept 13th to 15th-place, respectively.
- Ali Holm placed 16th in the 200-yard individual medley finals with a time of 2:14.13.
- In the morning preliminaries, Haley Sutton led the Tiger effort in the 50-yard freestyle. She finished 31st overall, timing 24.86.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN'S)- Aaron Magazine finished 13th overall in the 500-yard freestyle finals, timing 4:36.66. Magazine took 15th-place in the 50-yard freestyle finals (23.06).
- Sean Patterson placed third in the 200-yard individual medley 'B' finals with a time of 2:02.28.

The Tigers continue the three-day Carolina Collegiate Invitational tomorrow with the morning preliminaries session at 10 a.m. Finals will begin at 6 p.m. The Towson diving program will also be in action at the JMU Diving Invitational at 10 a.m.
