AKRON, OHIO – The Towson indoor track and field team set a school record and earned its third Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying mark on the final day of the Akron Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED (TRACK EVENTS)- Zanae Freeland tied for 10th-place in the 60m dash (gold division), running the event in 7.71. Her time is second-fastest time in program history.
- Freeland also placed fifth in the 200m dash (gold division) with an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying time of 24.93.
- Wilhelmina Austin and Katelynn Williams had back-to-back finishes in the 60m hurdles. Austin finished 21st (9.154) while Williams placed 22nd (9.160). Both times rank 10th overall in program history.
- Kelsey Fiddes finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.42.
- Megan Kelly and Arianna Waller both timed personal bests in the 400m dash. Kelly placed 14th (59.47) and Waller followed in 15th-place (59.59). Â Â
- The 4x400m (gold division) relay team of Freeland, Reid, Amanda Famularo and Fiddes placed eighth with a time of 3:54.85.

HOW IT HAPPENED (FIELD EVENTS)- Wilhelmina Austin set an indoor school record in the triple jump with a distance of 11.74m (38'6.25"). She finished third overall for the event. Her time ranks fourth overall in program history for the triple jump, including indoor and outdoor marks.
- Naja McAdam was the runner-up in the high jump with a height of 1.65m (5'5.00").
- Lauren Coleman placed eighth in the shot put with a personal best distance of 13.13m (43'1.00"). Her mark ranks third in program history.

The Tigers return to action with a busy weekend, competing in the BU Valentine Invitational on Feb. 12 and at the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational on Feb. 13.
