STOCKTON, Calif. –
Shelby Stracher enjoyed a performance for the ages to help the Towson University softball team close its perfect west coast trip with a 9-1 victory over Pacific at Bill Simoni Field Tuesday night in a non-conference contest.
Towson raised its season record to 17-4 while Pacific dropped to 11-11.
How It Happened- Stracher went beast mode in finishing with a career best six RBIs, which tied a Towson single-game record.
- According to Towson records, Stracher is the ninth player in program history to drive in six runs in a single game.
- Stracher slugged a one-out grand slam in the third inning that gave Towson the lead for good, 5-1.
- A sophomore slugger, who leads the CAA with a .484 batting average, Stracher finished a triple shy of the cycle.
- She ended her magnificent evening by delivering a two-run single in the sixth inning that expanded Towson's bulge to 8-1.
- Holiday Cahill followed Stracher's single with a double that scored Stracher with the Tigers' ninth run.
- Kendyl Scott had a RBI single in the sixth inning to begin the Tigers' four-run uprising.
