TOWSON, Md. – There's a wonderful adage that's eloquent in its simplicity: "If you don't dream, then you will never have a dream come true."
With the start of the 2016 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament beginning Friday night, 10 schools have hoop dreams about being the last team standing and cutting down the nets Monday night around 9 p.m. The dreamers included the Towson men's basketball team, who have won 20 games and enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed.
It's OK for dreams to take over the minds of everybody as the Tigers prepare for their CAA quarterfinal contest against sixth-seeded Northeastern, which experienced the euphoria of winning the tournament and participating in the NCAA tournament last year.
Now, the Tigers task is to prevent the reigning CAA Tournament champion Huskies from going "Back-to-Back" like Drake.
