Towson Captures Series Finale Over Elon

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team ignored the early inconvenience of a two-run deficit to storm back and capture an 8-3 victory over Elon in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Sunday afternoon before an energetic gathering at the Tiger Softball Stadium.

Towson (29-11 overall, 6-5 CAA) rode the brilliant pitching of Megan Dejter and Ambar Hickman to win the weekend series. Despite dropping the opening game to Elon (23-19, 7-5), Towson still accomplished its mission of claiming its third CAA series victory of the season.

  • Dejter retired eight hitters at one point during the game.
  • Hickman pitched a pair of perfect frames, retiring the first six batters she faced.
