TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team ignored the early inconvenience of a two-run deficit to storm back and capture an 8-3 victory over Elon in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Sunday afternoon before an energetic gathering at the Tiger Softball Stadium.
Towson (29-11 overall, 6-5 CAA) rode the brilliant pitching of
Megan Dejter and
Ambar Hickman to win the weekend series. Despite dropping the opening game to Elon (23-19, 7-5), Towson still accomplished its mission of claiming its third CAA series victory of the season.
How It Happened- Towson unleashed a relentless 12-hit assault upon Elon's hurlers.
- Holiday Cahill led the Tigers offense with three hits.
- Brook Miko and Shelby Stracher had two hits each for Towson.
