Stracher Continues Strong Season In Setbacks To No. 7 JMU

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Nicole Stockinger and Shelby Stracher combined for five hits against seventh-ranked James Madison during a pair of 16-0 and 11-6 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) softball setbacks to the host Dukes Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Park. They had hits in each contest for Towson.

  • Stracher got Towson off to a quick start in the nightcap.
  • Stracher slugged her 11th home run of the season to give Towson a quick 2-0 advantage in the top of the first inning.
  • With 42 hits, Stracher is leading the CAA with a .462 batting average.
  • Olivia Yarbrough, who reached on an error to begin the contest, scored on Stracher's CAA-leading blast.
  • Kendyl Scott had a RBI single that scored Nicole Stockinger in the second inning.
