TOWSON, Md. – The Towson baseball team will look to remain near the top of the CAA standings as they welcome James Madison to Schuerholz Park for a three-game series April 8-10. The series opener is set for 3 p.m., and will continue at 2 p.m. Saturday and conclude with a 1 p.m. matinee Sunday.

Military Appreciation DaySunday will be Military Appreciation Day at Schuerholz Park. Two former Tigers, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Brady Baxter and United States Marine Corps Reserve Lance Corporal Nathan Curd, will throw out the first pitch.
Palacios Adjusting WellFreshman
Richie Palacios is settling in just nicely to the college game. So far this season, the second baseman is hitting .349 and has reached safely in 19-straight games. He currently leads the CAA with 44 hits and 19 stolen bases.
Starting PitchingThe Tigers got three strong starts during their first week of CAA play as the three starters combined to allow just five earned runs over 17.0 innings.
Kevin Ross had the most effective outing, allowing just one unearned run over seven innings.
Policelli Swinging a Hot BatJunior
Brady Policelli has been swinging a red-hot bat during his current nine-game hitting streak. The shortstop is hitting .429 and has four multi-hit games. He has collected five doubles and driven in 10 runs, while also scoring 12 times.
Running TigersThe Tigers have been very aggressive on the base paths as they are 57-of-71 in stolen base attempts. The 57 stolen bases already ranks eighth on the single-season list at Towson. The record for stolen bases in a season is 89, set in 2013.
On DeckThe Tigers step out of conference play for a pair of midweek home games April 12-13. Towson will host George Washington on Tuesday afternoon, while welcoming UMBC on Wednesday. Both games are set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Schuerholz Park.
