OMAHA, Neb. – Four members of the Towson University swimming and diving team competed at the U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials this past week at the Century Link Center. Recent graduates

Jenna Van Camp competed, along with rising senior
Nick Breschi and rising sophomore
Jack Saunderson.
The event, which runs June 26-July 3, serves as the only selection meet for the U.S. Olympic Swim team competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Over 1,800 of the fastest swimmers in the country are competing at the eight-day meet.
It was the first time competing at an Olympic trials meet for Snyder, Breschi and Saunderson. Van Camp competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials after her senior year of high school.
Snyder competed in the 400-long course meter (LCM) individual medley, placing 69
th overall with a time of 4:56.38.
Van Camp was in action twice, competing in the 100- and 200-LCM breaststroke events. She finished 51
st in the 100-LCM breaststroke with a time of 1:10.56. In the 200-LCM breaststroke, Van Camp placed 68
th after timing 2:34.63.
Breschi came in 138
th place in the 100-LCM backstroke with a time of 57.63.
Saunderson posted the highest finish by any Tiger at the Olympic Trials, timing 2:01.48 to place 42
nd overall in the 200-LCM butterfly.
The Tiger quartet are the first Tigers to compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials since Melanie Rowland competed in 2012. Rowland finished 65
th in the 200-LCM butterfly at the 2012 trials. Hall of Famer Aaron Krause placed 42nd in the 100-LCM backstroke at the 2004 trials.
