TOWSON, Md. – Towson University diver
Sam Tennell has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Diver of the Year on Friday. Tennell is the first Tiger to be named CAA Men's Diver of the Year since 2014.
Tennell earns his first major yearly award as a Tiger in his second season with the team after transferring in from Birmingham-Southern. Tennell was named the Men's Most Outstanding Diver at the CAA Championships after taking gold in the 1-meter dive with a score of 319.55 and silver in the 3-meter dive at 322.10. Tennell was the highest scoring men's diver with 37 points earned at the meet.
Tennell also competed in the NCAA Zone "A" Diving meet where he placed 25
th in the 1-meter dive and 38
th in the 3-meter dive.
Tennell took home six CAA Men's Diver of the Week awards throughout the regular season including winning four in a row between January 20 and February 10.

Anthony Bruno has been named CAA Men's Swimming Coach of the Year, and diving coach
Sergey Meshcherskiy has been named CAA Men's Diving Coach of the Year.
