TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to begin the 2026-27 season this weekend when the Tigers host Delaware on Saturday, September 25. The dual meet will begin with diving at 10 a.m. with a 12:30 p.m. scheduled start for the swimming events.
All Towson swimming & diving home meets take place at Burdick Pool in Burdick Hall, and all home meets are free for the public to attend.
The Tigers enter the new campaign off a 2025-26 season that saw both teams finish in the top three at the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championships. Towson took home eight gold medals and had 22 podium finishes overall. The Tigers also broke six program records and one CAA record at the meet while taking home both the CAA Men's and Women's Diver of the Year awards.

Anthony Bruno enters his fifth season at the helm for Towson after being named the CAA Men's Swimming Coach of the Year in 2026. His staff includes associate head coach

Patrick Boyle, the 2026 Women's and Men's CAA Diving Coach of the Year
Sergey Meshcherskiy, and director of operations Brian Benzing. All returning from last year.
The Tigers return multiple CAA gold medal winners from 2025-26 including
Addie Scott (200 freestyle) for the women and
Jed Garner (100 & 200 breaststroke) and
Christian Davidson (500 & 1650 freestyle) on the men's side. Garner was the lone Tiger to qualify for the NCAA Championships last season after setting a CAA record in the 200 breast. Other returning conference medalists for the Tigers include

Stephen McDonald (500 free),
Isak Brkanovic (200 medley relay & 200 free relay) and
Nathan Decker (200 medley relay) for the men. On the women's team,
Bjartey Gudmundsdottir (200 medley relay),
Riley Willett (200 medley relay),
Ryland Zuniga (800 free relay) and
Summer Bontrager (800 free relay) are all back for another season at Burdick Pool.
The Tiger women feature nine newcomers

Sam Arias. The Towson men welcome seven newcomers including transfer additions

Bill McMinn.
Scouting the Opponent:
The Delaware Blue Hens come into the new year after a 2025-26 season that saw the Delaware women win the Atlantic Sun Championship in the Blue Hen's debut season in the conference. The Delaware men placed third at the ASUN Championships. The Blue Hen men feature one returning NCAA Championship qualifier in Kade Snyder.
