Jed Garner to Compete in the NCAA Men's Swim & Dive Championships

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University men's swimmer Jed Garner will compete in the NCAA Men's Swim & Dive National Championships tomorrow and Friday. Garner is set to swim in the 100 and 200 breast events
 
The four-day meet is being hosted by Georgia Tech University at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia. All four days will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
Garner will compete in the 100-yard breast event on Thursday and the 200-yard breast event on Friday. Both days will see the preliminary rounds begin at 10 a.m. with all qualifying swimmers moving on to the finals heats which will begin at 6:03 p.m.
 
Garner swam his first NCAA cut time of the season in the 200 breast at the Patriot Invitational in November. His official entry times are 52.12 in the 100 breast and his Towson and CAA record 1:52.45 in the 200 breast, both times were set at the CAA Championships.
 
While still in his first season with Towson after transferring from Tennessee, Garner has already swam the fastest 200 breast time in Towson history and the second fastest 100 breast time in school history behind Brian Benzing. Garner also holds the third fastest 200 IM time in school history behind Benzing and Jack Saunderson.
