TOWSON, Md. – Life in the rugged Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) is such that there's rarely any moment to savor a satisfying victory.
After earning its biggest win of the season to date, an 83-77 overtime victory over the College of Charleston on Thursday, the Tigers have to quickly erase those warm thoughts and immediately turn their attention to their next opponent. They are traveling to Boston for a date at Northeastern Saturday night.
It was an intense game and one in which Towson displayed its never-say-die spirit. Towson rallied from a pair of decent deficits to halt a three-game skid to the College of Charleston. Towson will be flying higher than its plane thanks to a season-best five-game winning streak that's featured a little of everything from a committee of contributors.
As Towson continues to climb the CAA standings after losing its first four conference games, the Tigers know they will have their hands full against the Huskies. At the halfway mark of the CAA season, Towson is tied for third with Northeastern and Elon. Each team is 5-4 in the CAA. This game will conclude Towson's second stretch of playing three of four games on the road this month.
