The Tigers will honor their seniors before the start of the match and fans are encouraged to make sure they are in the building by 12:45 p.m. to recognize the seniors. Looking at the Tigers: The Tigers picked up a big 3-2 win over James Madison on Monday night. Senior
Julymar Otero posted her sixth triple-double of the year in that contest while redshirt junior
Anna Holehouse collected 45 digs. Junior
Jocelyn Kuilan paces the Tigers on the season with 335 kills, 144 digs and a team-high 35 service aces. Fellow junior
Carola Biver is contributing 278 kills and 233 digs while sophomore
Marrisa Wonders has dished out a team-high 685 assists. Holehouse leads the defensive efforts with 529 digs as junior
Olamide Sonuga has a team-high 91 blocks.
Scouting the Blue Hens: Delaware enters Sunday's contest looking to snap a five-match losing streak.
Daria Robinson led the Blue Hens with seven kills in their last outing.
Maria Bellinger has a team-high 352 kills and 227 digs while
Brooke Robertson has 160 kills.
Abby Skryd has handed out 487 assists while
Maddie Judge leads the squad with 312 digs.
Delaware Series History: The Tigers renew one of their longest running rivalries on Sunday afternoon as it will be the 82nd meeting all-time between the two squads. Towson holds a slim 41-40 edge in the match-up after claiming a 3-1 win earlier this year in Newark. Towson posted a season-high 13 service aces in that win as
Silvia Grassini led the way with six aces.
Maria Bellinger led Delaware with 15 kills in the contest.
Thank You Seniors: Towson will take time to honor its seniors prior to the start of the match with the Blue Hens.
Julymar Otero and
Payton Windell have led the Tigers to 102 during their time with the Black and Gold and three straight appearances in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship with a fourth to come starting November 16.
Triple the Action: Senior
Julymar Otero contributed 15 kills, 27 assists and 14 digs in Monday's win over James Madison. It was Otero's second triple-double against the Dukes and sixth of the season. She had a season-high in kills in the contest. Otero currently ranks second in the nation in triple-doubles this season.
Can You Dig It? Towson finished with 118 digs in Monday's win over James Madison. The Tigers set the school record for digs in a single-match during the rally scoring era. It also marked the second straight match, the Tigers recorded 100 or more digs. Redshirt junior
Anna Holehouse led the way with 45 digs while junior
Carola Biver and sophomore
Annie Ertz finished with 22 and 20 digs, respectively. All three Tigers recorded their career-high for digs in the match.
We'll Take Two: With James Madison's win over Northeastern on Friday night, the Tigers have secured the number two seed for the upcoming CAA Championship. The Tigers will receive a bye through the first round of the tournament and face the winner of the three seed/six seed match on Friday, November 17. The College of Charleston will be the other team receiving a bye through the first round. The seeding for the rest of the tournament will be determined by Sunday's action. James Madison is hosting the tournament, November 16-18.
Digs, Digs and Digs: Redshirt junior
Anna Holehouse turned in a huge performance on defense against James Madison. Holehouse set the school record for single-match digs with 45 against the Dukes. Her performance broke
Kelli Scott's record of 44 set during the 1993 season against UMBC. Holehouse's 45 digs are tied for the second most by a Division I player this season and are the most by a CAA player since
Natalia Skiba of Northeastern had 45 in 2013.
