Setting Season Bests
Towson turned in one of its best performances of the season last weekend, finishing second at its Shelli Calloway Alumnae Meet. The Tigers recorded a season-best 195.025 to defeat No. 24 West Virginia and Temple, and just narrowly fell to East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) rival North Carolina.
It was the first time this season that Towson recorded a team score of 195.000 or higher and the first time the Tigers have done so since posting 195.275 on Feb. 28, 2016. The Tigers have now set a season-best team score in three-straight meets.
Towson also set a season-high on balance beam (48.975) and matched its season-best of 49.100 on floor exercise. The Tigers set or matched five career-best scores and four season-best scores at the meet.
