CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Madison Wilson and Nicole Stockinger had hits for the Towson University softball team during its 3-0 setback to Marshall in the Carolina Classic Saturday afternoon.
 
How It Happened

• Marshall scored twice in the second inning and once in the third inning.
• Stockinger reached base in all three plate appearances.
• Stockinger singled to lead off the bottom of the second inning.
• She walked in the third and sixth innings.
• Wilson singled leading off the third inning and reached on an error in the seventh inning.
• Brook Miko walked in the second in ning
• The Tigers had their best scoring chance in the third inning, but stranded the bases loaded.
• Megan Dejter tossed four scoreless innings in relief.

• This is the third time Towson has been shutout this season.
• Stockinger has at least one hit eight of Towson's 12 games this year.
• Wilson has a hit in five of Towson's last six games including three straight.
