Homestand Concludes With Visit From Hofstra

TOWSON, Md. – After a pair of exciting and memorable contests last week, the Towson University men's basketball team concludes its three-game homestand by welcoming Hofstra to SECU Arena. The game is also Towson's First Responders Appreciation night.

Towson's last three home games against the College of Charleston, Drexel and William & Mary have featured a little of everything: chills, thrills, overtimes, clutch baskets, amazing rallies, and plenty of resilience. The Tigers two wins last week were by a combined three points. At this point with everybody battling for playoff positioning, each triumph is significant no matter the margin of victory.

Towson has won seven of its last eight games to move into a third-place tie with Elon and William & Mary with six regular season games remaining. Towson and Hofstra each enter tonight's game with two-game winning streaks. Also, both squads rallied from double-digit deficits to win their last game.

Open Mic
Towson head coach Pat Skerry on last week's two victories
"We were very fortunate in both games. We got some good bounces and you need a little bit of luck. I like the fight the guys are showing. They are a tough-mined and competitive group. There are things we have to get better at and I hope that happens sooner than later."

On the matchup with Hofstra
"We were fortunate up there. We have to get back in transition, figure out how to stop the ball and keep them in front of us. They are so dynamic shooting and dribbling the ball that it puts so much pressure on you. Hofstra scores the ball so well and presents so many different problems on the perimeter."
