Last seasin in sweeping both games for the second straight season, Towson's average margin of victory was 22 points … Towson has won seven of the last 10 games in the series, including 4 straight … Two of the last 10 games have gone to overtime … Towson is 2-6 on the road and Delaware is 5-6 at home … The Tigers have scored 90 points in three of their last five games … This is the first of two meetings in two weeks between the two longtime rivals.

Last Time Out For Towson
Zane Martin scored 30 of his game-high 32 points after intermission during Towson University's 83-76 setback to Elon in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) men's basketball game at SECU Arena Saturday afternoon. n addition to Martin, senior guard
Mike Morsell contributed 16 points and five rebounds. Martin made five of Towson's seven 3-pointers. The Tigers shot 55.9 percent in the second half but couldn't erase a 41-22 halftime deficit. Towson made 23.3 percent of its shots in the first half.
Justin Gorham led the Tigers with eight rebounds.
Eddie Keith II added six rebounds and three blocked shots.
A Look At Delaware
The Blue Hens have lost four straight games. In their 64-59 loss to Hofstra last Saturday, UD played without its leading scorer Ryan Daly. Eric Carter recorded his sixth double-double of the season with team-highs of 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Hens, who held the lead for nearly 33 minutes. Ryan Allen contributed 11 points, but fouled out with 5:15 remaining in the contest, while Skye Johnson added 10 points and four rebounds. Delaware shot 47.1 percent from the field but was just 3 of 14 from behind the arc. The Blue Hens won the rebounding battle, 35-31. The Tigers may catch a break in that Daly may not play. Allen contributes 14.2 points per game. Carter, who averaged 12.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg is third in the CAA in rebounding (8.9 rpg).
Last Meeting Against Delaware
Towson placed five players in double digits for the second consecutive game during its solid 75-58 victory on Jan. 21, 2017. Towson limited Delaware to 33.3 percent shooting.
Mike Morsell led a balanced Towson scoring attack with 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
Alex Thomas delivered a career best 13 points in 18 minutes.
Eddie Keith II complemented Towson's scoring with 10 points. Leading 18-13 with 9:03 remaining, Towson took control of the game with a quick 9-0 burst highlighted by a Morsell 3-pointer. Ryan Daly led Delaware with a game-high 21 points. Anthony Mosley added 11 points for the Blue Hens helped by 7-of-7 shooting from the foul line.

Zane Martin was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) men's basketball co-Player of the Week. Martin was brilliant last week as Towson split a pair of games. He scored a career best and SECU Arena record-tying 35 points in a 96-82 overtime victory against William & Mary. Two days later, Martin scored 30 of his 32 points in the second half during an 83-76 loss to Elon. For the week, Martin averaged 33.5 points and made 55.8 percent (24-of-43) of his shots. He also made eight 3-pointers and was 11-for-17 from the foul line. Martin also averaged four rebounds. In the win over William & Mary, Martin scored 10 of Towson's 17 overtime points. He also tallied 20 of his points in the final 12 minutes of regulation and overtime.
Thirty Is The New 20
Martin became the first Towson men's basketball player to record consecutive games of 30 or more points since Gary Neal did it on Feb. 21, 2007 (30 points against Old Dominion) and Feb. 24, 2007 (30 against Drexel). The last Tiger to drop 30 in three consecutive games was Neal from Jan. 13-18, 2007. Martin is the first player in Towson's Division I era to score 30 points in a single half. Neal and Kurk Lee have come close. Neal scored 29 of his 36 points in the second half of a double overtime setback at VCU on Jan. 3, 2007. Kurk Lee scored 29 of his 44 points in the second half against UMBC on December 8, 1989. Devin Boyd scored 17 of his 46 points in the second overtime against UMBC on Feb. 27, 1993.
Nationally Speaking
Currently with a RPI of 104, Towson is ranked among the top 50 in five categories: 37th in total rebounds (878), 33rd in total blocks (106), 43rd in field goal percentage defense (40.9), 42nd in rebounding margin (5.5), and 46th in blocked shots per game (4.6). Martin is 25th nationally in field goals made (159), 26th in points (451), 44th in field goal attempts (324) and 51st in points per game (19.6).

With our annual Autism Awareness game for men's basketball on February 10 against Northeastern fast approaching, the Towson University Department of Athletics, in conjunction with the College of Liberal Arts and the Office of Disability Services will be sponsoring a Diversity Workshop: Focus on Autism on
Monday, February 5, 2018 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM in the West Village Ballrooms. The featured Speaker will be Anthony Ianni, who played basketball at Michigan State and is on the Austism Spectrum. Following the presentation there will be a panel discussion that includes: TU head coaches
