TOWSON, Md. – Towson University freshman
Solomon Uyaelunmo is feeling comfortable a week into his first career college basketball practices.
"My biggest adjustment is playing fast and staying focused the whole time in practice," Uyaelunmo said. "Playing against guys that are as big, fast or as good as me has been good for me. Overall, they have been good. So far the most challenging part is learning all the plays we have in a short amount of time."
Did you know that Uyaelunmo was born in Lagos, Nigeria and has three siblings (Victor, Jada and Mikaela). He lists his brother as the person who he admires the most. Aside from playing basketball, Uyaelunmo's hobbies include watching movies and hanging with friends.
Uyaelunmo's favorite movie is "Coming To America" while his favorite foods are egusi soup, ham and goat meat. He loves listening to hip-hop and R&B music and his most memorable experience was helping Calvary Christian (Fla.) win a state championship.
He is the first player with a last name beginning with the letter U to ever play for the Tigers.
