TOWSON, Md. – For the third straight week, the Towson University football team stands in the top-15 nationally in the polls.
Towson comes in at No. 15 in each the STATS FCS Poll and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Coaches Poll this week.
This is the sixth consecutive week where Towson is in the STATS FCS Poll and fifth straight week in the AFCA Coaches Poll. This is the first time in five weeks where Towson has not risen in the polls, coming off a narrow 40-36 defeat to Delaware, which is currently in the top-16 of the rankings.
The Colonial Athletic Association currently has six teams ranked in the polls. Towson is currently tied for first in the CAA at 4-1, 6-2 overall, with Maine, Delaware and James Madison.
The rankings set up another top-25 matchup for Towson as the Tigers welcome in Maine, at No. 23 in the STATS Poll, for Homecoming on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. Tickets to Towson home games are available now by calling 1-855-TU-TIGER or email
