COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Towson University baseball team battled Maryland into extra innings before falling, 8-7, in 10 innings Wednesday afternoon at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium.

- The Terps began their comeback in the bottom of the seventh on a solo homer from Zach Jancarski and a two-run shot from Justin Vought.
- A solo homer from Kevin Biondic in the eighth tied the game.
- Towson took the lead back in the top of the ninth as Lennox walked and scored on a double from Grunberg.
- The game was tied up again in the home-half of the inning on a sacrifice fly from Marty Costas.
- The Terps looked to win the game with the bases loaded and only one out, but Matt Watters got a pair of groundouts to end the inning.
- A one-out walk was followed by a bloop single to right, setting up the game-winning double from Nick Dunn.
