TOWSON, Md. – The Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) hosted a night on the water, courtesy of Spirit Cruises on July 16 at the Baltimore Inner Harbor.
The night featured a two-and-a-half hour cruise around the Inner Harbor, a dinner buffet and a speaking program, which included Director of AthleticsÂ
Tim Leonard and several head coaches including
Sonia LaMonica (women's lacrosse),
Shawn Nadelen (men's lacrosse),
Diane Richardson (women's basketball),
Pat Skerry (men's basketball) and
Rob Ambrose (football)
The event was attended by Spirit Cruises Donor of the Game award winners and donors that support all 19 sports at Towson University.
"We can't stress enough how important donors are to the success of Towson University Athletics," said
Dan Crowley, associate AD for athletic development. "This event gives us the chance to express our deepest gratitude for their continued support and passion for the Black & Gold."

The Tiger Athletic Fund will publish annual fund statistics for fiscal year 2018 (July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018) within the next few weeks. The report will include dollars raised, donor participation and impact of fundraising.
The Spirit Cruises Donor of the Game award, which recognizes one Tiger Athletic Fund donor at each home football and men's basketball game, has been awarded to 62 Towson athletic supporters. It was first presented on Nov. 12, 2013 at a home football game versus Delaware, and continues to be awarded as a symbol of thanks and opportunity.
