Track Completes Day 1 at Penn State National

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – Day one of the Penn State National concluded with Towson University women's indoor track and field team competing in four events.
Naja McAdam won the first heat of the pentathlon.

How it Happened
  • Crystal Johnson qualified for the semi-finals with a time of 7.60 seconds in the 60-meter dash. Jaina McLean tied for 15th place with a time of 7.69 seconds to also qualify.
  • Victoria Jones-Alleyne qualified for the semi-finals with a time of 8.79 in the 60-meter hurdles.
  • Ani Boghossian-James placed seventh overall in her first-ever pentathlon with 3,005 points, which is number seven All-time. McAdam places ninth overall with 2,807 points.
  • Naomi Roth finished in eighth-place in the weigh throw with 20lbs (13.07 m).
UP Next
Towson returns to action Saturday, Jan. 26 for day two of the Penn State National. The first event is scheduled to take place at 10:30 a.m. Another group of Tigers will also compete at Navy for the Navy Invitational. The first event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. inside Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Maryland.
