TOWSON, Md. -- Less than two weeks separate the Towson University men's lacrosse team from the first contest of the 2019 season.

Towson, which reached the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship game for a fourth-straight season in 2018, was mentioned in both the USILA Coaches' Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll as the weekly polls were released Monday afternoon.

In the USILA Coaches' Poll, Yale was selected first with 320 points, followed by Duke (296), Maryland (274) Loyola (255) and Cornell (239) to round out the top five. The media poll had the same top five with Yale earning 556 points and 26 first-place votes. Duke (527) had one first place vote while Maryland (492), Loyola (448) and Cornell (443) completed the top five. Virginia had the outstanding first-place vote to earn the six spot with 414 points.

Towson will play six opponents ranked in the USILA Coaches' Poll top 20 this season: at No. 2 Duke (March 17), No. 4 Loyola (Feb. 27), vs. No. 5 Cornell (March 10) in Charlotte, North Carolina, No. 7 Johns Hopkins (Feb. 9), No. 8 Denver (March 23) and at No. 18 Georgetown (Feb. 23)
