TOWSON, Md. – A second Towson University Tiger will join the XFL ranks as Randall Harris was selected by the DC Defenders in the league's open draft phase.
 
The former Towson offensive lineman was taken in the fifth phase on the second day of the XFL Draft. Former Tigers Harris and Darius Victor were each taken in the XFL Draft.  The XFL is a professional league that is planning to come back in 2020 with eight teams for a 10-week season, being reformed after first playing football in the 2001 season. 
 
Harris played for the Tigers from 2010-13, earning First Team All-CAA honors in his final two years in the Black & Gold at right tackle plus was an All-American in 2013.  He appeared in 41 games for Towson in his career on the Towson offensive line, helping the Tigers to a pair of conference titles and an FCS national title game appearance.
 
Post-Towson, Harris later signed professional contracts with the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League and the Columbus Destroyers in the Arena Football League, plus in 2015, he was part of the U.S. National Team, competing in the International Federation of American Football World Championship.
