TOWSON, Md. – Shane Leatherbury had a career-day in the Towson University football victory vs. Bucknell on Saturday and was nationally recognized for his performance.
Leatherbury was selected as a College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Honorable Mention National Performer of the Week as well as a STATS FCS Honorable Mention National Offensive Player of the Week.
The redshirt senior wide receiver tied a Towson program single game record with five receiving touchdowns, the first Tiger to achieve such a feat since 2005. He finished with six catches and 84 yards, including a 45-yard reception for a score. He caught five of
Tom Flacco's six passing touchdowns in the game.
Leatherbury helped the Tigers win 56-7 over Bucknell, the largest margin of victory for Towson in a game since 2005.
