TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's swimming team defeated William & Mary 169-125 in a dual match Saturday afternoon in Burdick Hall.
The Tigers captured 10 first-place individual events through 32 events.
How it Happened
- Christina Coleman finished first scoring 233.17 in the 1-meter diving competition to earn the Tigers nine points. Fiona Mcilmail scored 221.17 to earn four points and Sarah DiGaetano scored 208.87 to earn three points.
- Coleman also finished first in the 3-meter diving portion scoring 238.35. Sarah DiGaetano came in second scoring 227.41 and Fiona Mcilmail finished in third scoring 218.18.
- Meghan Jones, Kalyn Fetter, Hailey Ritter and Parker Schulz came in third in the 200-yard medley relay (1:49.17).
- Karlee Carminati finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:22.55).
- Annemarie Schnoor was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.66.
- Maddi Mangum captured first-place in the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 57.17. Reagan Martin was third with a time of 59.39.
- Jacki Schoening added to the first-place victories with the 100-yard breaststroke finishing with a finals time of 1:03.78.
- Megan Cowan also had a first place victory in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.36. Sarah-Margaret Locke came in third (2:08.43).
- Madison Mince took second place in the 50-yard freestyle (24.49). Ava Enriquez came in third (24.82).
- Schnoor was also successful in the 100-yard freestyle finishing first with a time of 51.57. Katie Nunez came in third (53.38).
- Jones took first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.56). Alex Diacumakos came in second (2:06.13).
- Schoening also won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.56. Kasey Gamache finished in fourth (2:26.13)
- Lydia Plasser finished in fourth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:15.14). Meagan Clark came in fifth (5:17.58). Suzannah Mills was in sixth 5:24.52.
- The Tigers took first and second in the 100-yard butterfly with Andrea Ducar (56.93) and Mangum (57.53).
- Cowan took second in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:11.16.
- Mangum, Kayla Reedy, Enriquez and Schnoor finished second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:32.61.
