TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's soccer team fell 1-0 to UNCW on Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Tiger Soccer Complex.

Towson falls to 3-8-1 overall, 0-3-0 in the conference while UNCW improved to 7-4-0 overall, 3-1-0 in the conference.
How it Happened:
- The Seahawks had two early shots both blocked by the Towson defense.
- Dominique Martinez gave UNCW the early 1-0 lead after Emily Moxley passed the ball to her through the Tiger defense.
- Jenna Blank tried to tie the game up but her shot went high.
- 20 minutes into the game, Blank had another shot attempt but UNCW's Sydney Schneider made the save.
- UNCW's Hannah Arostegui had the last shot of the half.
- Nikki Logan started off the second half with a shot wide left.
- The Seahawks' Ashley Johnson took a shot on goal but Towson's goalkeeper Delaney Mitchell had the save.
- After a Towson corner kick by Monica Scaglione, Blank attempted another shot but it went wide left.
- Mitchell had two amazing back-to-back saves after the first shot by UNCW's Jordan Faveri hit the crossbar before saving the second one.
- Towson's defense came up strong to end the half.

- Mitchell had four saves for Towson.
- UNCW out-shot Towson 11-5.
- Towson took five corner kicks, while UNCW took three.
- Blank took a season-high four shots.
