TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University football team rose a spot in the coaches poll to stand at No. 9 in both national rankings, released on Monday.
The Tigers hold at No. 9 in the STATS FCS Top-25 and went up a spot to No. 9 in the America Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Coaches Poll.
This is the sixth week in a row where the Tigers are ranked nationally in the top-10 in each national poll. Towson is coming off its bye week at 3-2, holds a victory over ranked Maine and has only lost to teams ranked in the top-10 of their respective division.
Towson returns to conference play this weekend, hosting UAlbany on Saturday, Oct. 12

Towson is one of six CAA teams that are nationally ranked. James Madison (2 STATS/2 AFCA), Villanova (5/7), Delaware (15/15), Maine (18/20), and Stony Brook (22/23) are also in the polls.
