TOWSON, Md. –The third week of Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play sees the Towson University women's soccer team travel to Philadelphia to face Drexel on Thursday, Oct. 10, then hosting the Phoenix of Elon on Sunday, Oct. 13.
First the Tigers will head to the City of Brotherly Love for an evening match at Vidas Field to play Drexel. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. with fans having the ability to stream the match on Flosports.tv.
On Sunday, Towson is back at Tiger Soccer Complex for a 1 p.m. contest against Elon. All home matches will have live audio and video, free of charge, as well as live stats. Links for both contest can be found at towsontigers.com.
For all home meets, parking is free in Lot 19 with over flow in Lot 20.
Last Time Out
Towson fell 1-0 to UNCW on Senior Day this past Sunday, Oct. 6. The Tigers honored seven seniors before the match started. Dominique Martinez scored the lone goal for UNCW.
Jenna Blank had a season-high of four shots in the game.
The Series: Drexel (Towson leads 10-9-3)
Towson will travel to Drexel for the 23rd meeting all-time between the two programs. Last season the match ended in a 0-0 double overtime final. The Tigers are looking for their first win against Drexel since a 3-0 score in 2013. The last time Towson had a victory in Philadelphia against Drexel was in 2004.
The Series: Elon (Towson leads 3-2-0)
Towson is looking to get back to its winning ways against the Phoenix. Last season the Tigers fell in North Carolina 2-0. The Tigers have never lost at home to Elon dating back to 2014.

Towson fell to UNCW 1-0 last Sunday, Oct. 6.
Jenna Blank is leading the Tigers with 10 points, four goals, and 24 shots including 12 on goal.
Nikki Logan has 23 shots with six shots on goal. Three different Tigers are tied with two assists. In goal for the Tigers are
Lindsey Pazdziorko and
Delaney Mitchell. Pazdziorko has 39 saves and a 2-4-1 overall record while Mitchell has 24 saves and 1-2-0 overall record.
Scouting the Dragons (4-6-3, 0-3-1 CAA)
After a double overtime period against Elon, the game ended in a 1-1 tie on Sunday, Oct. 6. Drexel scored after an own goal by the Phoenix. The Dragons are led by sophomore Lauren Currey who has four goals, three assists and 11 points so far this season. Currey also leads the team in shots with 29 including 15 on goal. In goal for Drexel is Libby Baeza who has 36 saves and an overall record of 4-6-3.
Scouting the Phoenix (8-3-2, 2-1-1 CAA)
A double overtime period against Drexel on Sunday, Oct. 6 resulted in a 1-1 tie. After Elon had an own goal resulting in Drexel to have a 1-0 lead, Elon's Kayla Hodges evened the score to force overtime. The Phoenix are led by freshman Jessica Carrieri who has six goals, 14 points and 29 shots with 15 shots on goal. Junior Carson Jones has five goals, 11 points and 29 shots including 15 on goal. In goal for the Phoenix is Katrin Hauksdottir who has 35 saves and an overall record of 7-2-2.

- The Towson University athletics department deems community service as one of its highest priorities to give back to the Greater Baltimore area.
- For the 7th consecutive year, the department exceeded 10,000 hours of community service to the Greater Baltimore region, finishing with 11,162 hours of community service in the 2018-19 academic season.
- Towson ranked #1 nationally for community service and won the 2018 National Championship for Community Service through the Helper Helper NCAA Team Works Competition.
- Towson had a 97% participation rate, attended 118 community service opportunities and volunteered with 19 organizations.
- Towson won the 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award from Susan G. Komen of Maryland.
