TOWSON, Md. – Towson University quarterback Tom Flacco has been named to the 2019 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) FCS National Performer of the Year Trophy Watch List, announced by the CFPA on Tuesday.
 
Flacco is one of 34 players to be named to the watch list, awarded to the top player in FCS.  He is one of seven Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) players to earn this distinction.
 
The senior quarterback is second in the CAA with 2,460 yards of total offense, passing for 2,143 with 16 touchdowns and just four interceptions, adding 317 yards on the ground with two more rushing touchdowns.  He reached the 5,000-yard career passing mark at Towson in just 20 games and stands in the top-7 in program history in passing touchdowns, passing yards and passing completions.
 
Flacco is also a member of the 2019 Walter Payton Award watch list and was voted the 2019 CAA Offensive Player of the Year.  Last season he was selected as the CAA and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year.
 
The winner of the award will be announced on Jan. 15, 2020, four days after the FCS National Championship game.
 
Flacco and the Tigers will next play on Saturday, Nov. 9^th at 2 p.m. at Stony Brook.
