CONWAY, S.C. – Kendall Arcia had her second multi-hit game of the season and Nicole Stockinger hit her 28th career homer as the Towson University softball team dropped a pair of games in the Coastal Carolina tournament Saturday at St. John Stadium.
How it Happened-Game 1
- Towson had five hits during the 5-0 setback.
- Eastern Kentucky scored four runs in the first inning.
- Jessica Swistock singled to center field in the second inning to give the Tigers their first hit.
- Madison Wilson doubled to right center in the third inning.
- Arcia had a hit in the fourth and sixth innings.
- Wilson and Arcia have combined for 15 hits through six games for the Tigers.
How it Happened- Game 2
- Towson lost 5-3 to host Coastal Carolina in extra innings.
- Wilson hit her first homer of the season in the first inning giving the Tigers an early 1-0 lead.
- This was Wilson's second three-hit game of the season.
- Stockinger homered in the top of the fifth to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead.
- Riley Thies scored following Chloe Poulich's RBI single in the top of the ninth to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead.
- Coastal Carolina scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to win the game.
- Sarah Johnson struck out eight batters in a complete game effort.
