TOWSON, Md. – It's a quick turnaround for the Towson University gymnastics team as the Tigers travels to George Washington Friday, Feb. 21 for a 7 p.m. meet inside the Charles E. Smith Center.
The Tigers will face host and conference foe George Washington as well as Eastern Michigan and Kent State in a quad-meet.

Tigers Last Time Out
Towson fell to Bowling Green 194.375-193.025 last Friday, Feb. 16.
Ally Wesoly captured a first-place finish on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.825. She finished second in the all-around with a season-high 39.050.
Melissa Temkov tied Wesoly on beam with a score of 9.750.
Mary Elle Arduino finished in second-place on beam with a 9.800.
The Tigers also competed against Western Michigan this past Sunday falling 195.025-193.100. Arduino tied for first-place on beam with a season-high score of 9.875.
Cortni Baker tied and Temkov tied for third on floor with a score of 9.775. Wesoly tied for second in the all-around scoring a 38.450.
Scouting the Colonials
George Washington participated in the Perfect 10 challenge in Oklahoma City on Feb. 15, finishing in fourth with a score of 194.975. They had a season-high score 48.800 on vault, 48.825 on bars, a 48.525 on beam and a 48.825 on floor.
Alex Zois placed fourth in the all-around with a 39.250.
Scouting the Eagles
Eastern Michigan fell to Central Michigan University 192.750-195.050 on Feb. 15.
Junior Emili Dobronics posted a 9.875 on floor and Jada Rondeau's posted a 9.800. Megan Hultgren scored a pair of 9.775s on vault and beam. Sophomore Cortney Bezold earned a 9.775 on bars.
Scouting the Golden Flashes
Kent State set season-highs in all four events: 48.975 on bars, 48.800 on vault, 49.050 on floor and 48.975 on beam.
Freshmen Madison Trott and senior Dara Williams each recorded a career-high 9.850 to tie for the bars title. Junior Jade Brown also tied a career-high 9.800 and finished in fourth place. Abby Fletcher had a career-high 9.850 and tied for first on vault.
Conference Rankings
- Emerson Hurst is ranked 38th in the nation on beam with an average score of 9.835 and season-high score of 9.875. She is second in the league on balance beam with an average score of 9.835 and a high score of 9.875.
- Ally Wesoly is ranked third in conference in the all-around with an average score of 38.671 and a high score of 39.050. She is sixth on the uneven bars (9.761 avg., 9.850 high), tied for 16th on vault (9.707 avg., 9.775 high).
- Cortni Baker is ranked 13th in conference on vault with an average score of 9.714 and a high score of 9.800. She is 14th on the uneven bars (9.700 avg., 9.750 high).
- Leah Smith is ranked seventh in conference in the all-around with an average high of 37.908 and a high of 39.050. She is 22nd in conference on the uneven bars with a 9.630 average and a high score of 9.725.
- Mary Elle Arduino is fourth in conference on beam with a 9.789 average and a high score of 9.875. She is 21st in conference on the uneven bars (9.644 avg., 9.700 high).
- Melissa Temkov is ranked 24th in conference on floor with a 9.694 average and a 9.775 high.
Tigers in the Community
- Towson is the Division I national champion of the NCAA Team Works Helper Helper Competition for the Fall 2018 semester. Towson completed the most community service hours among all schools in the competition, including 75 different Division I departments and approximately 300 total programs across the country.
- The Tigers have been chaperones at a clinic in Pennsylvania as well as helping with the High Performance Clinic on Sunday, Jan. 13 inside the Towson Center.
- The Tigers also host a kid's night out each semester.
- Throughout the semester, the team will have local schools visit to talk about setting goals.
