TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University football team has added seven more players on National Signing Day for the 2019 season.
These seven are added to the 10 that committed on December 19
th for the Early Signing Day for a total of 17 new players.
"It is always a great day when we have new Tigers join our family," said Towson head coach
Rob Ambrose. "After many months of hard work by coaches, professors and support staff, we are honored to add 17 new players. We believe this diverse compilation of student-athletes, who hail from seven different states, will make us all TU Proud!"

Scott Van Zile, recruiting coordinator for Towson football. "Our staff did an outstanding job of formulating a plan and executing it. I feel this group illustrates how our staff capitalized on the 50 years of great football tradition combined with the successes of our 2018 season."
Towson finished the 2018 season ranked in the top-20 nationally, going 7-5 overall and tying for third place in the CAA at 5-3. Ranked for eight consecutive weeks, the Tigers earned then top-15 victories against Villanova, Stony Brook and Elon, earning an at-large berth into the FCS Playoffs.

Steven Brown – Safety – 5-11, 190 – Sierra College – Plumas Lake, Calif.
Brown will suit up for the Black & Gold after two years at Sierra College. Last season, he led the Wolverines with 119 tackles and two forced fumbles at safety, helping the team to its best record since 2008 and the 6-AA state title. At East Nicolaus High, he also competed in baseball and track.
Nic D'Angelo – Offensive Line – 6-4, 317 – Queen Anne's County – Queenstown, Md.
From across the Chesapeake Bay, D'Angelo comes to Towson and joins fellow Eastern Shore natives
Shane Leatherbury, Aaron Grzymkowski and
Stephen Oscar. With Queen Anne's County High, D'Angelo earned All-Bayside honors at offensive line in 2017, the school's 14
th straight winning season.
Stefan Hackshaw – Outside Linebacker – 6-1, 207 – Tuscarora – Frederick, Md.
From the western side of the state to Towson comes Hackshaw. At Tuscarora High, he was selected as First Team Defense by the
Frederick News-Post, also competing in the Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star Classic.
Shane McDonough – Punter – 6-1, 200 – Marshall University – Clearwater, Fla.
McDonough arrives in Towson, joining fellow Florida native
Brandon Shuman, after suiting up at Marshall University. While at Clearwater High, McDonough was named a
Tampa Bay Times "Special Teams Player You Should Know," also being named First Team All-Pinellas County.
Darian Street – Wide Receiver – 6-1, 180 – University of Pittsburgh – Bethlehem, Pa.
Street spent the last two years at the University of Pittsburgh and was a top-25 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania by ESPN, Rivals and Scout.com. He competed in football and track at Liberty High, earning 885 receiving yards and nine touchdowns combined in his junior and senior seasons to pick up all-conference and all-area honors.
Austin Weisser – Offensive Line – 6-3, 310 – Lewisburg – Lewisburg, Pa.
Weisser served as the left tackle at Lewisburg High in Pennsylvania. He earned Class 3A First Team All-Pennsylvania honors in 2018 as well as All-Eastern, all-conference and the
SunGazette Lineman of the Year. A multi-sport athlete, Weisser also competed in basketball, swimming and track & field.
Jeremiah Wynn – Safety – 5-11, 175 – Dulaney – Cockeysville, Md.
Wynn, from nearby Cockeysville up the road, arrives at Towson from Dulaney High, the alma mater of assistant coach
Konstantinos Kosmakos. The MVP of the annual Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star Classic and a competitor in the 410 All-Star Game, Wynn also competed in track.
