Jack Saunderson from the Towson University men's swimming and diving team set a new conference record in day one of the NCAA Championships.
Saunderson swam a time of 1:44.97 in the 200-yard individual medley preliminaries setting a new Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) record.
He will swim tomorrow, March 29 in the 100-yard butterfly with the preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m.
All events are taking place in the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
