Jack Saunderson was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Swimmer of the Year for the third-straight season, while sophomore
Will Canny was named CAA Men's Diver of the Year.
All of the top award winners were determined in a vote by the league's head coaches.
Saunderson made his third consecutive appearance at the NCAA Division I Men's Swimming Championship and earned All-America honors after finishing seventh in the 200-yard butterfly finals.
Saunderson swam a time of 1 minute, 40.44 seconds in his first "A" final to beat his on CAA record and earned a six seed for the finals. He also received All-America Honorable mention after his performance in the 100-fly. He finished 15th overall in the event after swimming a time of 45.64.
Saunderson is a four-time All-American with three honors in the 200 fly and two in the 100 fly. He set a new CAA record in the 200 preliminaries that he himself had broken during the final day of the CAA Championships.
At the CAA Championship, he won gold in the 200-yard fly and 100-yard fly. In the 100-yard fly with a time of 46.53 seconds he defended his own championship title from two years ago. He also broke a record in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:45.46.
Canny was named the CAA Most Outstanding Diver of the Meet after winning the three-meter diving event at the Championships. He had earned a qualifying score of 320.70 and also had a second-place finish in the one-meter dive with a score of 280.10.
Canny was named CAA Diver of the Week five times this season after having numerous first-place victories in both the three-meter and one-meter diving competitions.
