TOWSON Md. – Towson University softball team split two games Saturday afternoon verses Charleston in Tiger Softball Stadium.

The Tigers fell 5-1 in the opening game but with a hit to right field by Madison Wilson Towson took the second game 4-3.

How it Happened Game 1

• Breanna McDowell, Nicole Stockinger and Sara Johnson each had a hit for Towson.
• Julia Jackson had two hits for the Tigers
• Towson scored one run in the bottom of the seventh after Jackson's single to center field scored Jessica Swistock.
• Charleston scored one run in the top of the first and added two runs each in the top of second and fourth.

How it Happened Game 2

• The Cougars got on board first in the top of the third and took an early 1-0 lead.
• After back-to-back fielder's choices and a single to left field by Stockinger, Towson regained the lead in the bottom of the third going up 3-1.
• Charleston added to runs in the top of the sixth to tie the game 3-3.
• After bases was loaded in the bottom of the seventh Wilson singled to right field giving Towson the 4-3 victory.
• Melissa Abrahamian pitched a complete game for the Tigers and had six strikeouts.

Towson wraps up the series with Charleston tomorrow April 14 in Tiger Softball Stadium. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
