How it Happened:
- Northeastern got on the board first in the top of the second. After the Huskies got the bases full with one out, a fielder's choice by Jake Rosen allowed a run to score. The Huskies took advantage of some free passes and led 3-0.
- Towson got its first hits in the bottom of the fourth, piecing together a Javon Fields leadoff triple and a Brad Powers infield single to second to put the Tigers within two at 3-1 Northeastern.
- Oluwasayo Kintunde entered for Towson and kept Northwestern down. In the top of the seventh, Northeastern brought two runs home off a couple of errors. Next inning, NU added another error-assisted run to go up 6-1.
- Towson put together a final rally in the bottom of the ninth, beginning with a Richard Miller single and Noah Cabrera reaching on an error. Jack Rotteveel pounded the ball into the left-center gap to score both runners. Trey Martinez brought in Rotteveel on a sacrifice fly two batters later, but Towson's rally came up short in a 6-4 defeat.
