Towson Adds USC Transfer Victor Uyaelunmo

TOWSON, Md. – Beginning with the 2020-21 season, the Towson University men's basketball will have a brother act following the announcement that Victor Uyaelunmo has transferred from the University of Southern California (USC) to join the Tigers and his younger brother, Solomon.
 
"Victor will be an impact forward for us," Skerry said. "His length, athleticism work ethic and talent will be a welcome addition. His experience playing in the PAC-12 at a great program like USC is a major plus as well. We are excited to get to work with him and watch him develop like other transfers we have had."
 
Victor will not be eligible to play during the 2019-20 season.
 
A 7 foot, 220-pound center, Victor is long and athletic and can affect the game on both sides of the court. He is an excellent shot blocker and a skilled scorer in the paint.
 
In 43 career games at USC, Victor made 53.8 percent of his shots.
 
In helping USC win 16 games last season, Victor appeared in 28 games, making his first three career starts, and averaged 0.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. Started the opener against Robert Morris on Nov. 6 and had three rebounds in eight minutes of action. He scored a career-best six points against Southern Utah on Dec. 21.
 
Victor made his second start and had a block and rebound at Stanford on Feb. 13. He made his final start at California on Feb. 16 and scored two points, had four rebounds and a block. Victor grabbed a career-best eight rebounds and scored two points at Colorado on March 9.
 
As a freshman, Victor helped USC win 24 games, advance to the Pac-12 championship game and second round of the National Invitational Tournament. He played in 15 games, scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. He started the final game of the season against Western Kentucky in the NIT and scored a season-best five points. He scored four points in the season opener against Cal State- Fullerton, making all four free throw attempts.
 
Coming out of Calvary Christian Academy, Uyaelunmo was ranked as the No. 16 center and the No. 7 player from Florida in the 2017 class by ESPN.com. He earned offers from 17 different colleges.
 
With Victor sitting out this upcoming season, he'll play two years together with his brother, Solomon.
