TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University softball team clinched the number three seed for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) tournament after defeating Drexel 3-1 Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers swept the Dragons for the second year in a row.
How it Happened
- Drexel's Linda Rush homered in the top of the first to give the Dragons an early 1-0 lead.
- A two RBI double by Nicole Stockinger in the bottom of the third gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead.
- After Chloe Poulich reached based on a single, Riley Thies singled to center giving the Tigers a 3-1 advantage.
- Melissa Abrahamian pitched four innings and had two strikeouts while Sara Johnson pitched three and also had two strikeouts.

Towson will head down to Harrisonburg, Virginia for the CAA softball tournament beginning May 7, hosted by James Madison.
