TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University softball team clinched the number three seed for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) tournament after defeating Drexel 3-1 Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers swept the Dragons for the second year in a row.

How it Happened

• Drexel's Linda Rush homered in the top of the first to give the Dragons an early 1-0 lead.
• A two RBI double by Nicole Stockinger in the bottom of the third gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead.
• After Chloe Poulich reached based on a single, Riley Thies singled to center giving the Tigers a 3-1 advantage.
• Melissa Abrahamian pitched four innings and had two strikeouts while Sara Johnson pitched three and also had two strikeouts.
