TOWSON, Md. – The preseason honors keep coming for the Towson University quarterback as
Tom Flacco has been named to the 2019 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) FCS National Performer of the Year Trophy Watch List, announced by the publication on Tuesday.
Flacco has already been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. He is on the Walter Payton Award watch list and was picked as a preseason All-American by STATS and Phil Steele.
Flacco is one of four CAA players among the 40 on the watch list for 2019 CFPA FCS National Performer of the Year.
The reigning CAA and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year finished in the top-12 in several offensive categories in FCS in 2018, including total offense, passing yards, passing yards per game, passing touchdowns and completions per game. He totaled 3,251 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns and 742 rushing yards last season, having double digit completions in every game for Towson.
The winner of this award will be announced on Jan. 15
