BOWLING GREEN, OHIO- The Towson University women's gymnastics team was ranked in the top 50 for the 2018-19 academic year by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA), announced today.
The Tigers ranked 34th after having a team grade point average of 3.4827. This is Towson's second straight year finishing in the top 50.
Overall, there were 31 teams and more than 56 percent of student-athletes maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or more on a 4.0 scale. A record number of student-athletes, 125 (8.91%), recorded a 4.0 GPA.
Towson also had nine student-athletes earn the WCGA Scholastic All-America Award.

Nikki Borkowski,
Jaz Kauffman,
Olivia Lubarsky,
Zoey Packard,
Brittney Ranti,
Melissa Temkov and
Ally Wesoly all had 3.5 overall grade point averages or a 3.5 grade point average for 2018-19.
The WCGA is the advocate for women's collegiate gymnastics. They provide the best possible experience for student-athletes who compete at the collegiate level in the sport of women's gymnastics.
